Look at Me!!!

So Savannah likes pretty much everything but some things are preferred more then others. Being in any form of water is one of them, she just LOVES water! Since today is a pretty warm day about 91 degrees I decided lets break out the baby pool. Of course since this is a first Jacob missed it but he's out having his boys motorcycle camping trip so he can't complain. The hardest part about having Savannah in her pool was trying to get her to look at me! She was so excited to be in the pool and play with everything including the pool I think I only got one picture where she actually looked at me. Needless to say it was a great time outside playing and she just looks so dang cute in her bathing suite. Another fun fact is Savannah will only wear her hat if she's in the sun, as soon as we get into the shade she takes it off, sometimes I think she's too smart for her own good. I love her!

(Her pool is in the shape of a turtle and its shell comes up to provide some much needed shade for a babies delicate skin, just in case you were wondering.)

Weekend Adventures Part II

So I'm bad with this post and don't have any pictures. I did take some today but I wasn't in the right setting on my camera and none of them turned out which totally sucks because they were really cute. Anyway from where we left off more exciting news is Uncle Scott is home!!!!! Scott came home from his mission this past week and arrived in Idaho late Saturday night. On Sunday we headed out to Middleton and went to church with Jacob's family and Scott gave his homecoming talk which was AMAZING!!!! It was incredible to see what a difference these past two years have had on him. He really has grown in many ways and it was fun getting a glimpse at the new person he has become, I mean he's still the same old Scott but a little more refined I guess. I like it. Anyway so we went to his homecoming and then had dinner with Jacob's family and came back home and hung out for the rest of the night. As for today....we went swimming. It was so fun and Savannah is definitely a water lover. She kept trying to put her face in the water and drink it like a dog, it was pretty much hilarious. Might I also add, Savannah looked freaking adorable in her swimsuit and sun hat. I swear she dresses better then I do 99% of the time. Anyway after swimming in we headed back to Middleton and had a late lunch and watched a movie. It's been a very busy weekend to say the least and I'm really not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow but its been way fun and I'm glad it was a long weekend. I hope you all enjoyed yours as well.

Weekend Adventures Part I

This is a weekend full of adventures. First my brother Jordan is visiting from BYU Idaho and since its Memorial Day weekend I decided that we were going to do something fun, also I've been dying to see more of Idaho since I live here and I want to do fun things here. So we decided to go for an easy hike and go to Jump Creek. It was a gorgeous day and lots of other people had the same idea we did but none the less it was a great day. After getting a bit lost we finally made it and had a fun time looking around and enjoying the beautiful waterfall and the spars vegitation that is around it. Sometimes beggers just can't be choosers. As I'm sure you noticed this is just Part I of our weekend adventures because more exciting things await us tomorrow and Monday. Don't get too excited having to wait, I know it'll be hard.

Daddy Time

There really isn't more to say then the title of this blog...here are Savannah and Jacob having daddy daughter time. I've said it before but it was nice to capture a moment where Savannah was happy to just be still for a moment and to be snuggling too.

Two Peas In A Pod

So we're very lucky to have photographers on both sides of our families because we get to have nice pictures taken all the time. My sister in law Sarah took these shots of Jacob and Savannah one Sunday afternoon. I picked my three favorites because there are quite a few that I really love. They were all taken in our back yard and I'm SO happy with how they turned out, I can't wait to put some of them up in the house.
(So I know this picture is just of their feet but it's totally my favorite!)

Like I said above I'm super happy with how the pictures turned out and Jacob was SO excited to get some nice pictures of him and Savannah together, he was a bit jealous that I have so many with her and he hadn't since she was born.

Something New

So one of my favorite things is the Conference edition of the Ensign, I always look forward to reading it but sometimes struggle doing it. So this time I decided that each week I'm going to read at least one talk and then post my favorite quote. So here you go..."Our success in never measured by how strongly we are tempted but by how faithfully we respond." -Robert D. Hales
