Work in Progress

Here she is my little girl trying to be a big girl, as the title says its still a work in progress. My fear though is that the days of just trying to catch her on all fours are almost done and the craziness of trying to catch her running are soon at hand.

Happy Father's Day!

So for Father's Day Jacob got a new toy which he is quite excited about to say the least. He really is like a big kid but I will say we are quite similar, in that it doesn't take much to make us happy and here is the prof.




He got a mini bike from a gal at his work, they were going to sell it at a yard sale so Jacob got it for $20. These are the before and after shots of the bike, one of the guys at Jacob's work panted the bike for him. Not bad I think and he's had quite a good time driving it around the neighborhood with his friends. Savannah also thinks it's quite something and highly enjoys watching her dad ride around.

The planner that I am

So being the planner that I can be I've already decided that for Savannah's first birthday (still 3 months away) I am going to make cupcakes instead of a cake. I just think they're all around better then a birthday cake especially for a first birthday. So since I can be a planner I have decided that I better start practicing making different cupcakes to see which ones I like the best, and that are of course the cutest. I think I've decided that I'll make 2 or 3 kinds with one being of course chocolate for the birthday girl and others who enjoy chocolate. I'm pretty sure that this is one of the cupcakes I'm making. It is all around so freaking good!!!! I was only 2 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight until I made these on Sunday and now I have a bit more to go then 2 pounds. It was worth it though because they're that good. You better hope your invited, be looking for your invitation in about 3 months to sample the goodness that is the cupcakes I'll be making and of course sharing in the joy of Savannah being with us for a whole year.
