What the Heck
So when I was in high school I went to early morning seminary and I actually loved it! I was/kinda still am a morning person. I would get up at 4:30 every morning to get ready for school before I got picked up for seminary, then I went to college. There I learned how much I also enjoyed sleeping in. I still consider myself a morning person and apparently Savannah is taking after me because although Jacob gets up early for work he is not a morning person. So what is the point of this post you may be asking yourself? Well since I've become pregnant this time around I have not been so much a morning person. I seem to get my best sleep from 5am-8am or later and this seems to be a problem for Savannah. She typically wakes up right at 7, she could actually be up earlier and I'd have no idea, that's just when she starts calling for me and knocking at her door to be let out of her room. As a side note, she can totally open doors but she can't seem to connect that all doorknobs are the same so she hasn't figured out she can open her door yet. Anyway back to my story, I thought yesterday was a fluke experience because she woke up at 6:20! Now Saturday was a busy day for us, we cleaned the church at 7:30 went to the store afterwords then headed home to take showers and get ready for the day. Then we headed out to Middleton for a family reunion from 11-2 and then came home again. Savannah actually took a nap which was awesome and then we dropped off Savannah at Jacob's sister Jodi's where we all headed off to the temple at 5:30. Savannah got to play with 7 of her cousins while we went to the temple for Sarah and her fiance Ryan's endowment session. It was a really neat experience because out of 7 children, 6 were in the temple together along with their spouses/significant others and the only reason the 7th sibling couldn't be there is because they live in Arizona. So after the temple we headed back to Jodi's and had pizza and ice cream, we didn't end up coming home till like 10:30 and Savannah fell asleep in the car. So you'd think she'd be tired and sleep in a bit but no she woke up at 6:20! So yesterday was another busy day, we had church at 9 then when we were on the way home Savannah feel asleep and we needed to head out to Middleton again. So we took turns staying in the car and changing while Savannah slept. So she got about an hour nap and then we had lunch at Jacob's parents. Savannah was a whirlwind while we were there, she wanted to do everything and she was still exhausted from waking up too early and not sleeping long enough. The highlight of the day for her was getting to play in the neighbors sprinklers. Oh my gosh she was in heaven! So we headed home at 9 and once again she feel asleep in the car. So I'm naturally thinking oh she's totally gonna sleep so good because she's run herself ragged...I was wrong. She woke up at 6:14 this morning! Needless to say I'm exhausted and we have another busy day ahead of us so I'm hoping for more sleep soon and good behavior since I know we're both sleep deprived, wish us luck.

Festivals, Camping, and Cars Oh My!
Well this last week has been full of fun activities. Its festival time here in western Idaho so we've had fun going to Emmet and Meridian for two different festivals. On Thursday I went with my sister in law Jodi to the Emmet Cherry festival which was oh so fun. I'm sad to say I didn't eat any cherries because I could buy them at the store for cheaper but I did have funnel cake! I lOVE funnel cake and have now gotten my nieces hooked as well. Savannah thought it was a blast and even got a goldfish. They had goldfish races so she had fun helping hers along and then she desperately wanted to love on it so I had to put it out of sight. Then next day we went to the Meridian Dairy Day Parade with Jacob's sisters and their kids. Once again Savannah had a blast as well as all the other kids. I really do love this parade and think its so fun, they give all the kids milk and toss candy and everyone decorates things like cows. Also Savannah's favorite animal sound is "moooooooo".
When we got home that night we decided to camp out in the back yard to see how Savannah would do before we attempted a real camping trip. Once again she was in heaven! Oh my goodness you'd think this was the most amazing thing to ever happen to her she was so excited, which in turn made the whole experience more fun for us. I got so sleep on our sofa cushions and we pulled out Savannah's crib mattress for her, poor Jacob got the hard ground. We also had our friends Clayton and Melanie camp out with us to so it was quite the party. Savannah was so excited she didn't fall asleep till like 11:30 and oh course was still up at 7:07 so I technically got to sleep in for 7 minutes.
On Saturday I wanted to go on a family outing so I put Jacob in charge and he decided we'd go to a park near our house to walk around and play and of course see the ducks too. It was a beautiful day and Savannah just loved every minute of it. She kept trying to get away from Jacob so she could either jump in the stream or try and chase the ducks into the pond. I'm glad he had a hold of her because I was exhausted from all our other outings. Also as an added surprise there was a car show going on in one part of the park so we got to do another activity while there.

Quick Update
I'll start with Olivia...she should weigh in somewhere around four pounds and should be about 19 inches long. She should be getting ready to come into the world by practicing a few things she'll need to know like swallowing, breathing, kicking, and sucking. As a side note she totally has kicking down. She also has been able to suck her thumb for a while now, no idea if she actually does but we'll find out soon enough. Something else to note: As more and more fat accumulates under her skin, she's becoming less transparent and more opaque. I love the internet for giving me all this useful information, it really is nice to have some kind of idea about what's going on inside me.
Now on to Miss Savannah...she is very much a toddler coming up on her second birthday. Can you believe it she'll be 2 in September! With getting older she is acquiring some fun new habits like huge temper tantrums. I'm really not exaggerating either, now they aren't always huge I'd say like 45% of the time they are though. Now what do I mean by huge? I'm talking about throwing herself onto the floor kicking and screaming literally and banging body parts into walls or doors or whatever is closest to her. My remedy for this is ignoring her or putting her in her room. The best is when it happens in public, I though I'd be more embarrassed but really I'm not. I figure either they know what I'm going through because they have kids and if they haven't I still don't care. She hasn't thrown one with Jacob in public and I have a feeling he'll be much more embarrassed them me. Another fun new thing Savannah is trying out is no nap taking. I do not like this at all! I'm still trying to put her down everyday and its just hit or miss. Today I took her for a walk to 2 parks and let her play till she was spent, as a side note the walk total was about a mile. Needless to say she is now asleep and I'm loving it.
I think I'll give a short update about Jacob and myself too because I don't usually talk about us and I figure somebody might like to know what were up to.
Jacob has been busy with work and has been exploring options for new employment and possibly going to school. Everything is still very much up in the air hence I've never mentioned it before but there you go, one day I'll make a post about the decided decision (I gave him till Olivia's born to make a plan so time is quickly running out.) He's also playing softball with our ward and LOVING every minute of it. Savannah and I haven't been able to go see a game yet but hopefully soon. He's also going to be playing with his work on a city team so we'll have lots of games to attend soon. He's also being the best dad ever, he's been having so much fun playing with Savannah and bonding with her more as its becoming a bit harder for me to be as active with her as she'd like.
On to me...we'll I'm 32 weeks pregnant and once again I have been really blessed with a great pregnancy. I have the basic complaints of being tired, feeling huge, and all of that but that's about it. I've been trying to motivate myself into getting some house projects done before Olivia arrives but I haven't been super motivated. Most of my projects are for Savannah since we have pretty much everything ready for Olivia, we just need to set up her bassinet in our room. I'll be attempting a few different sewing projects, painting, and decorating Savannah's new room in preparation for Olivia so I really do need to get my butt in gear. Wish me luck.
Well those are the happenings with us, at least all the ones I can think of so hopefully you enjoyed catching up with our little family and I'll try to include pictures next time.

New Favorites
Ok, so I can take no credit for finding these sites but they are my new favorites! One of my friends when I was in Provo married this girl whom I've actually never met but I love her! I love reading her blog about their little family and she does the funnest stuff. I secretly wish I lived near them so hopefully she'd like me and we could be friends. Anyway these are two sites that she shared on her blog and I have fallen in love so I am also sharing them. First is howdoeshe.com, this site has awesome crafts, recipes and much more. The second is melskitchencafe.com which has all kinds of yummy recipes. Tomorrow I'm making her black beans and grilled island chicken, I'm quite excited. Anyway I hope you enjoy these as much as I do and have a fabulous weekend!
